Cheryl,
I spoke to Betty at church this morning. She told me about this
website. I was telling her that I had just written a poem about my mother who
has terminal cancer and I have been her primary care giver. Through this, I have
learned what God's will was for my life. She thought perhaps I should send it to
you, maybe it will help someone else. Please email me if you are interested.
This is an awesome website and a true testimony to your love for Tom. God bless
you! Karen Marshall
Thank you for looking at my site. I read your poem. I am honored to publish it
on this site. Thank you for sharing your heart. What a lovely & strong lady you
are. I pray for an over flowing of blessings over you & your family.

I did not know about Tom,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I read the story of your meeting and giggled and
cryed at the same time. If you ever need an extra someone to answer the phones,
let me know. That story is the most amazing, he was sent from Heaven to
you!

First of all I loved your story!
I lost my
granddaughter that was 16. She was in a terrible auto accident. This was on
March 14th, 2012.
She lived with us, for most of the time. I am still in
denial. Can't wrap my mind around the idea she is gone.I am just devastated! I
miss her so much. I feel like someone reached into my chest and pulled my heart
out.
I do pray everyday for God to help me and without him I would have
not gotten this far!
I do need all of your prayers! My husband is also
here, who misses her.
Thanks,
Donna

I couldn’t resist looking at the website you told me about.
I probably should have waited till I was at home.
I read THE LETTER through tears. What a story and for it
to be so true. I feel like I have known you forever. I am going to make a real
effort to come visit and meet you in person. You are a very SPECIAL WOMAN!!!
The kind that makes my heart warm. I only wish I could have met Mr. Tom. He
reminds me so much of my husband. This is my third marriage. I pray that by
each passing day, you find a little more comfort and peace. If there is ever
anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. I love
you!!!!
I will be passing on this site to my friends that have lost
loved ones. You are such an inspiration!!!
Take care and God Bless,
Your Sister in Christ.

I herd about Refuge In The Night at church this morning. I went to your web site
this afternoon. The Letter Wow! what an amazing thing to do. I am a youth Sunday
school teacher and I plan on sharing your web site with my youth next Sunday. I am
so sorry for your loss. The poems are inspiring but The Letter is so much more. In
this day and time my young people talk about how do they find God's perfect choice
for their lifetime mates. Mrs Carter I think you have found something very special.
I hope you write a book.

Good site, was nice to meet you today Mrs Carter. I hope as my wife & I grow
older we will still feel the love you and Mr Tom shared.. He sounded a lot like
my granpa. To me there was no better man than him. Mr Tom's is gone now
but you are a blessed woman. Cause he's still there with you.
Best Wishes

I saw your flyer at church Sunday. I'm so glad I looked up your site. Mr Tom
was a friend and a blessing to all of us who knew him at Trail Of life. When
I read The Letter I could just see the two of you. The story is funny and sad.
I sent the web address to my daughter and her two cousins. I just got an email
back from my girl. She said she is going to write a letter. lol
Well don't stop singing Ms Cheryl cause you are a blessing too.
We love you, Shirley

Hi
Cheryl,
We met and talked
at the funeral of Mrs Barnard a couple of
weeks ago. I was touched by the
things you had to say about your new ministry.
I wanted to write you a
note of encouragement. I've not finished reading all
the pages of your
website, but the story of you and Tom gives me hope for the
future.
Perhaps God has a Boaz for me, too.
Also, I really like the Old
Pencils link. I looked carefully at all the photos and then read the parable at
the bottom. I took that encouragement to heart. I needed to hear that I'm
a special person and that God created me to be me, not to be the impostor
I've been in the past. Living my life to please others left a gaping hole
in me. I'm
happy to say that God is who I now strive to please, and he's
filling that hole
with His love and mercy.
Today on the way to
church I was praying for
God to give me self-confidence, when suddenly I
realized I don't need "self"
confidence, I need confidence in Him! So
anyway, I wanted to share that with
you, too. Blessings to
you!

Mrs. Carter,
It was such a blessing to meet
you at Chickfila this past week. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story on
this website and have posted it on facebook for those who may need to share
their situation with someone else while the rest of the world sleeps
peacefully.
Thank you for opening your heart and your life to others in
obedience to what Paul directed in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
May the Lord
continue to heal your heart and bless your life as you reach out to
others.
Your sister in Christ,
Sherrie Lewis
